RINK DETAILS
Location: Kingsbury Park - 102 Auglaize Street, Defiance, OH 43512
**Entrance is located off of Auglaize Street by the pool. Registration attendants are in the building next to the pool
Hours: December 7th - December 20th: Thursday & Friday 4 pm - 9 pm, Saturday & Sunday 12:30 pm - 9 pm
December 21st - December 31st: Monday - Sunday 12:30 pm - 9 pm
*Rink will be CLOSED on Christmas Day
*Rink will close after the 4:15 session on New Year's Eve.
Each session is 1 hour long. You are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled session.
Cost: Free admission for all ages
Skate Rentals: Skate rental available for free or you can bring your own. Socks are required!
Reservations are required to be sure there are enough skates for everyone and we do not exceed the capacity on the rink.
SAFETY & RULES
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we have limited capacity and rules and regulations posted at the rink and listed below. Please follow these to provide an entertaining time for the whole community.
- Patrons must wear skates when on ice. No one is permitted on the ice without skates.
- Anyone below the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult. All skaters must agree to the Terms and Conditions below, or sign a waiver if registering in person.
- No roughness, excessive speeding, racing, weaving, or human chains. Tag or other games and sticks or pucks are prohibited.
- Please pick up after yourself to keep this beautiful facility clean for others to use
- No intentional sliding or diving on the ice or kicking or chipping of the ice is permitted.
- No throwing snowballs or any other objects.
- Skaters are not permitted to carry children on the ice
- No figure skating jumps or spins.
- Beginner and novice skaters should be accompanied on the ice by an adult. Accompanying adult must wear skates.
- No pets allowed within the rink area.
- No headphones allowed.
- Ice rink exit doors are to remain clear at all times.
- No eating, drinking, or gum chewing is permitted on the ice.
- The use of tobacco products, e-cigs, alcohol, or illegal substances on the ice or on the premises is prohibited.
- Skate guards may issue time outs to anyone who repeatedly violates rules. Severe infractions may result in suspension from facility use.
The Defiance Ice Rink is an exciting new amenity added to Kingsbury Park for the month of December and has been graciously donated by Steve and Kelly Grube. Maintenance and facility updates have been done by the City of Defiance Administration and Parks Department, and the Defiance Development and Visitors Bureau.
